What We Believe
-
Pentecost is not a religion; it is an experience! We believe in the one true living God. We believe that Jesus is God who manifested himself in the flesh and put himself on this Earth to pay the ultimate price for our sins. We believe in a life of holiness, both inwardly and outwardly, separating ourselves from the world. We believe in the return of Jesus Christ and that everyone will receive their judgement.
-
We baptize in the name of Jesus Christ as stated in Acts 2:38, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” We believe in water baptism, being fully submerged in water to symbolize our sins being washed away, and we rise to walk in newness of life.
-
We believe in receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues- just as the Apostles did in the first century on the day of Pentecost, according to Acts 2.
